Goodhue Wildcats Trap Team
The Minnesota Clay Target League is the fastest growing sport in the MSHSL. Over thousands of kids have been involved in this sport since 2001. This league is for kids in grades 7-12 who have earned their firearm safety certificate.
Students compete with two practice rounds once a week on Tuesdays at the Zumbrota Range from 3:30-6:30pm. The athlete's shoot 2 rounds of 25 clay targets from 5 different positions, 5 at each spot. Each week their scores are kept and recorded and sent to the state. Competition scores are week by week, and they compete with the teams in our conference.
We have many sponsors including Pheasants Forever, The Goodhue Lions Club, Lake City Sportsman Club, Lodermeiers, Royals, Town and Country Construction, Voth Insurance, Goodhue County Cooperative, and many other supporters. Thank you to everyone that has supported and contributed to make this team possible and all the events that they are able to partake in.
Everyone is eligible to participate in State:
